insulator are made of re-in forced polyester with metal inserts.insulators have varied use,including insulating conductors from each other or against wall.Good electrical resistance,heat resistance,fire resistance,low shrinkage and water resistance properties.

It may be hexagonal,drum,conical in shape.They are three types

1.Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC Insulator)

2.Dough Moulding Compound(DMC Insulator)

3.Epoxy Resin Insulator

Length of insulator will be from 25mm to 75mm and brass insert will have thred M6 to M12.
